Graduado Coluna

Tyler Valdez,  known as Coluna in the Capoeira world. Coluna began studying Capoeira at age 14, and have studied for the past 14 years.  He began training in Salt Lake City with the first group to grow in Utah while changing through different capoeira schools up until he met Professor Lampreia in Utah in 2002, where they performed together in the 2002 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremonies in Salt Lake City.  He has taught under Professor Lampreia’s leadership for the past 5 years and is currently teaching in Bountiful, Utah at Skills Fitness and Groove Dance Studio. Coluna Believes that capoeira teaches you everything you need to know about adapting to life in and out of the circle.  Where else can you get a beautiful culture mixed with a fight, game, dance, gymnastics, martial arts, amazing friends and music all in one vessel?  ”Capoeira hits every part of my hearts drum and free’s my soul.”
